About Us
Gloucester Dial-a-Ride started in March 1986 with one bus, one driver and one part time office staff. The original driver was Suzanne Burdett and she remains a key cog in the Gloucester story having been the organisation's Co-ordinator since 1991.
Current day - 6 buses; 9 drivers and 5 office/support staff
Originally the offices were at the Gloucester Cattle Market but with growing demand for the service and therefore space the organisation is now at home in Eastgate Street.
In 1986 4500 journeys were completed by the bus. Now around 25000
passenger journeys are completed each year.
In 1986 Gloucester Dial-a-Ride had 80 members, it has now registered
2400. About 600 of those actively use the service each year.
Gloucester Dial-a-Ride's mission
